Land in Dholera is leased rather than sold outright, and the buyer pays a large sum at the start called an upfront lease premium. This line is the single clearest measure of whether companies are actually paying to come to Dholera.

What this figure does not tell you

Because the premium is recognised when a lease is signed, one large allotment can lift a whole year and leave the next looking empty. Two years is not enough to call a trend, and this page will not pretend otherwise.
