The first piece being built
Dholera is not being built all at once. A first slice was carved out to be developed before the rest, and the reports call it the Activation Area. This page gives its size and explains why an area being carved out is not the same as an area being finished. The answer today is 22.5 sq. km, as at 30 June 2026. It has not changed once in the 8 monthly reports held here, going back to 30 June 2025.

What this figure actually counts
The Activation Area is the first tranche carved out of the region for development. The reports state the area carved out. They do not state how much of it is serviced, how much is levelled, or how much has a road, a water line or a power connection running to it, so the figure marks an administrative act rather than construction.
What this figure does not tell you
Area carved out is not area serviced. The Delivery Monitoring Unit reports carry no hectares-serviced line for Dholera in any of the editions read for this register.
