How big Dholera is on paper

This page tells you how much land the government has drawn a plan around for Dholera. It is a boundary on a map, not land that has been built on, and the gap between those two things is most of what people get wrong about this project. The answer today is 920 sq. km, as at 30 June 2026. It has not changed once in the 8 monthly reports held here, going back to 30 June 2025.

What this figure actually counts

This is the extent the Delivery Monitoring Unit reports as planned for the region. It is a planning boundary, not built area and not serviced area. The reports print the word approximately in front of it, so the figure is a round one by the source's own admission, and it is repeated unchanged in every edition.

What this figure does not tell you

A planning extent tells you nothing about how much of that extent has been developed. The reports publish no serviced-area figure for Dholera at all.

Why it has not changed

This quantity did not change in any of the 8 readings held here, from 30 June 2025 to 30 June 2026. That is a finding rather than an absence of one: the same figure was re-published every time the report was issued.
